Alice Fay Chambers "Waltz"

Alice Fay Chambers “Waltz” passed away November 14th, 2025

She was born on May 10th, 1955, in Springdale Arkansas to Frank and Iva Chambers, she was one out of seven children. In the early 60’s Alice and her family would move to Duluth MN where she grew up the North Shore. She attended North Shore Elementary School and went on to graduate from Clover Valley High in 1973. In 1974 she would go on to start what would be the beginning of her family starting with her daughter Rebecca, in 1977 she married David Holmes, and in 1978 she would give birth to her son John and in 1981 she and dad would have Brian. She attended UMD where she graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She loved her family very much and was an active member of RockHill Community Church. She was very passionate about Education and Recovery along with the gospel of Jesus. Alice is preceded in death by her grandmother Maude Revelle, her parents Frank and Iva, her brothers Eddie, Cleo and James and David Holmes the father of her children. She is survived by her sisters Frankie of Rhode Island Leola of Virginia Mn. She is survived by her children Rebecca (Daniel) Helms of Saint Paul MN, her son John Holmes of Duluth MN and her son Brian (Heather) Holmes of Duluth MN. Her grandchildren Jerrod & Jeremy, Donna & Kevin, Christian (Natalie) and Madison Her great grandchildren Makayla, Darius and Noah along with many nieces and nephews.
