Audrey M. Nelson

Audrey M. Nelson, 83, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022.  She was born in Newfolden MN, on May 28, 1938, to Hjalmer and Ruth Martin.

She grew up in Newfolden, MN, before moving to Bemidji to get her degree in teaching. She taught for several years. She married Victor on January 4, 1975, in Askov, MN. She was very active at the Church, playing the organ and piano, baking, and participating in the bible study.

Audrey loved teaching, being a pastor’s wife, spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren, who could do no wrong.  She loved praying for and with people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Carol Elseth, Renee Erickson, and Neil Martin.

Audrey is survived by husband, Victor; children, Bethany Nelson, Kara (Kevin) Piatt, Josiah Nelson; grandchildren, Jackson, Oli, and Caryn; sister, Kay Wood; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7PM Monday, May 9, 2022, at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, 3208 W 3^rd Street, Duluth, MN 55806.  Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 1PM until the 2PM Funeral Service in Augustana Lutheran Church, 3251 Midway Rd, Duluth, MN 55810.
