Betty Jane Anderson

Betty Jane Anderson, 93, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in her home. Betty was born in Washburn, WI on October 10, 1930 to Embert and Myrtle Haugen. Betty married Roger Anderson on January 12, 1952. Betty was a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital for 40 years, working the over night shift in the post coronary care unit. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. 

 Betty enjoyed coffee with friends and family, baking, knitting, listening to music, playing cards, especially solitaire, traveling with Roger, and loved spending time and sharing stories with her family and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger; two daughters, Linda Lou Anderson and Debra Kay Anderson.

 Betty is survived by her children, Ricky (Joy) Anderson, Craig (Cherri) Anderson, Roger S. Anderson, Penny (Greg) Nelson, Brian )Tammy) Anderson and Susan (Larry) Thomas; 12 grandchildren, Kelly, L’Rena, Jesse, Danielle, Erik, Emelia, Nicole, McKenzie, Nathan, Taylor, Mason and Neely; 3 great-grandchildren, Craig, Addisyn and Ayslynn; a former daughter-in-law, Tamie Anderson; special friends, Susan Reed and Shelli Gonser.

 The family would like to thank Karen, Kim and Alicia at Essentia Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Betty in her last nine months.

 Visitation 11 am until the 12 noon memorial service Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Washburn, WI at a later date.
