Dale Richard Slennes

Dale Richard Slennes, 85, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospice. Dale was born on March 26, 1939 in Duluth to Ralph and Frances (Anderson) Slennes.

Dale worked as a telegrapher for the Railroad and then Diamond Tool. He enjoyed his cabin. Later, his passion was to downhill ski at Spirit Mt and spending three months each spring in Oregon and Mammoth, CA. He also loved to take Callie for walks. He dealt with Melanoma and many surgeries for over thirty years, yet never complained. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Gunner. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Cheryl; a son, Darryl; grandchildren, Jesse and Ruby; great-grandchildren, Scott, and Harmony and a grand dog, Callie.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1 pm memorial service Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Asbury United Methodist Church. 6822 Grand Avenue. Pastor Katherine Cornell officiating. Burial in Oneota Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home.
