David Henry Rudh, 75, of Duluth, left our world on February 9, 2024 in the hands of his children after a brief battle with cancer. He was born to Charles and Helen (Dahl) Rudh in Duluth, MN on August 20th 1948. Dave was a graduate of Duluth East and attended UMD before joining the Navy. He served on the USS Sam Houston, the USS Bonhomme Richard and the USS Connole prior to becoming a reservist in Duluth. He retired from an HVAC career with I.S.D. #709 and continued working as a lot attendant at the DECC before completely retiring to his home in Duluth (Riverside). He happily spent his summers at Whispering Pines (Round Lake, MN) and his hunting seasons at The Farm (Toimi, MN).
Dave was a fisherman, a deer hunter, a trumpet player and an avid reader. He enjoyed classic rock and classic cars. He had a profound knowledge of local history and was proud of his Norwegian heritage.
Dave was a kind and generous man who brought much joy to many people. He is much loved and deeply missed. Til Valhalla! He is survived by his siblings, Barbara and Steven (Kathy) Rudh; his children, Kristin ('Rick' Nicholas) and Martin (Amanda Walsh) Rudh.
