Dolores Pogorelec

Dolores Jean Pogorelec, 90, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday April 1, 2021 in Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was born in St. Paul, MN on February 5, 1931.  Dolores was a Duluth Cathedral High School graduate Class of 1949.  She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, teaching Sunday school for 13 years and serving on the Religious Education and Liturgy Commission at Church.  Dolores retired on January 1, 1993 from St. Mary’s Medical Center after 43 years of service and she was Employee of the year in 1990.

Dolores is survived by her sister Maryanne Johnson, nieces Jill Aykens, Heidi Johnson, Angela Elliott, Melissa Aykens, and Janine Aykens, sisters -in -law Joan Aykens and Debra Wdowychyn, cousin Rich (Joan) Smith and their family, many great nieces and one great nephew.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 9, 2021 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W. 3rd St. Duluth, MN 55806.  Due to covid there will be no lunch served. Burial will be in Polish Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home.  3208 W. 3rd St. Duluth, MN 55806.  218-624-1059.
