Doris Lorraine (Olson) Eggers, 91, of Duluth, passed away October 1st. She was born October 16, 1929 in Duluth MN. She grew up in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood and graduated from Denfeld High School. She moved to the Cities where she worked for Northland Aluminum as a switchboard operator. She met her husband, Henry, at a Christian singles group. They were married October 17, 1970. They were happily married for 46 years. Doris always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Her faith was very important to her. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. The members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church were like family to her and Henry. She loved all animals but especially cats and her beloved Molly. She also loved to knit, read, and watch the Vikings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents, Andrew and Margaret Olson; her four siblings, and a nephew. She is survived by many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Keystone Bluffs for their kindness and loving care to Doris these past four years. Thank you, too, to the Hospice staff from Essentia for their loving care the last few weeks. There will be a memorial service at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 802 Maple Grove Road, Duluth MN at 11:00, on Saturday, October 9th, with a lunch to follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be that afternoon, after the memorial service, at Spring Lake Lutheran Church. The family asks that those who attend the funeral, to please wear a mask. Arrangements by Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home.
