Earl N. Sellards

Earl N. Sellards, 94, of Duluth, MN, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 12^th, 2023, at the Benedictine Health Center in Duluth, MN. Born to Charles Edwards and Emma Ottesen on April 5^th, 1929, Earl attended Stowe School until 9^th grade, later graduating from Morgan Park High School.

Best known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Earl was always trying to know the person next to him, regardless of who they were. If the best thing that could be said of a man are the smiles he left behind on all the faces of all the people he met, that would be him.

Earl had the opportunity to impact many people through his job as a baker at Taystee Bread. He was a devout member of St. Lawrence Church, also volunteering with the Knights of Columbus #6783.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emma; siblings, Edward “Lester”, Eleanor, and Eugene.

Earl is survived by children, Christine Johnson, Jesse Sellards, and Linda Sellards; grandchildren, Jude and Jade Sellards, Theresa, Kevin, and Jessica Johnson; great grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones.

Visitation will occur on Thursday, December 21^st, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church from 10am-11am, with funeral mass to follow. Internment will happen immediately after the service at Hermantown Cemetery, with luncheon at the church following.
