Eleanor Margaret Cich

Eleanor Margaret Cich, age 101 of Duluth died on February 10, 2025. She was born in Beaulieu, MN on July 19, 1923 to parents Louis and Theresa (Geray) Stall. Eleanor married Reuben Mickelson and together they raised their family in Duluth, until his untimely death in 1967. She found love again, and married Walter Cich. Twice-widowed, Eleanor embraced life with unwavering strength, never allowing life’s hardships to diminish her gentle spirit. Cooking was her love language. Whether at home or work, her talents in the kitchen and easygoing nature made anyone feel comfortable in her presence. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two boys, Arnold Stall and Roger Mickelson; and son-in-law, Doug Lindberg. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Richard) Bjerk, Avis Lindberg, and Steven (Donna) Mickelson; siblings; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation starting at 12noon in Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in the Spring of 2025.
