Gregory Raymond

Gregory Edward Raymond, 57, of Duluth, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Greg was born in Duluth on December 16, 1962 to Gregory S. and Janice Raymond. He graduated from Duluth Central High school with honors

and went to both UMD and Gustavus Adolphus College. Greg worked in management, sales, technician, and project management and spent the last 20+ years at Superior Entrance Systems. Greg was known for his quick wit, wicked sense of humor and kind heart. His larger than life personality will be missed by all who knew him including his family, friends (especially DCHS class of 81) and his work family at Superior Entrance Systems. He enjoyed fishing with his family and hunting with his lifelong friend, Kent Voelkner and spending days up at their cabin relaxing. He fought a valiant 5 year fight with Stage 4 cancer with courage, grace and humor. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Raymond; his maternal grandparents, Olaf and Mabel Wedin; paternal grandparents, Edward and Antoinette Raymond. He is survived by his father, Gregory (Rory) Raymond; a sister, Lynn Raymond (Beau) Grisez; a step-sister, Erin (Bret) Marsh; a step-brother, Jarrod Brademan; his beloved Golden Retriever, George; multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Luke's hospital, especially Dr. Basam Goueli with whom Greg started his cancer journey. In lieu of flowers please send donations to "Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest" (ragom.org), or the St. Luke’s Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021.
