Hilmer Hadselford

August 12, 1920 — December 30, 2012

Hilmer O. "Himmie" Hadselford, 92, Duluth, died December 30, 2012 at Chris Jensen Nursing Home. He was born in Bozeman, ND, on August 12, 1920 to Magnus and Thea Hadselford. Hilmer had attended Duluth Central High School. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, and was the last Duluth survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He had worked at Hadselford Dairy, Duluth, Twin Ports Creamery, Superior and retired from Russell Creamery, Superior, in 1982. He was a life member of VFW 137, the Disabled American Veterans and Lakeside Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marjorie, son Kirk, sisters Signe Raether, Evelyn Wallace, Lucille Fenske, Mildred Solem and Doris Engersoll and brothers Erling and Leonard. Hilmer is survived by his sisters Hazel (Stan) Wuolle, Duluth and Bernice (Clyde ) Gagnon, Duluth and countless nieces and nephews. Visitation 10AM until the 11AM Memorial service Friday at Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home. Inurnment Park Hill Cemetery. Military Honors accorded by the Combined Duluth Honor guard.
