Irene Deloach

Irene C. Deloach, age 92, Duluth, died Monday September 18, 2017 at St. Marys Essentia, Duluth. She was born in Duluth on June 18, 1925 to George and Cecilia Fredrickson.  Irene was a graduate of Denfeld High School and later married Carter Deloach in Long Beach, CA, on February 5, 1946.  In Duluth, Irene had worked at Bridgemans, Newmans Drug  Store, Halverson Tree and was church secretary at Zion Lutheran Church for 20 years.  At Zion, she also served as a Sunday School Teacher,  was a member of its Elizabeth Circle, church choir and was president of the cradle roll. Irene was an avid gardener and was known to some as the “Bean Queen”.  She is preceded in death by her husband,  brothers Robert and Donald and sister Marilyn.   Irene is survived by her children Wayne(Mary Ellen), Marilyn(Steve) Elliott, Roger(Sue) and Cheryl Deloach, brother Dick Fredrickson, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Visitation noon until the 1PM Memorial Service Friday September 22, 2017, at Spirit Of God Lutheran Church, 2431 W. 3rd St., Duluth. Inurnment Sunrise Cemetery.  Memorials to Spirit Of God Lutheran Church are preferred.  Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
