Jackie Morris

Jackie D. (Beaudin) Morris, 73, of Duluth, died due to heart complications with family by her side, Saturday July 30, 2016 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born Dec. 29, 1942 to Emmit and Betty (Yernberg) Beaudin in Duluth, MN. Jackie was a 1960 graduate of Denfeld High School and later in life she continued her education at UMD. Jackie married Larry Morris on April 20, 1963 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Duluth. She was employed for Congressman James Oberstar for 36 years retiring in 2011 as District Director. Jackie was a longtime member and supporter of Elim Lutheran Church. When she was not looking after family and friends, she enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Rose Lake with her family. Some of her other hobbies included golfing, reading and sewing. She spent time in South Dakota hunting Pheasants with Larry and friends. She loved to spend time with her girlfriends on various trips and catching up on current events over coffee and a bite to eat. Jackie's greatest joy was her grandchildren, attending every sporting event or activity they were involved in. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob Beaudin. She is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughters, Karri (Steve) Long of Solon Springs, WI; Kristi (Kevin) Johnson of Duluth; her grandchildren, Brendan and Bailey Johnson, Tyler, Logan and Ethan Long; her step-brother, Earl (Barb) Beaudin; Step-Sister, Susie (Lance) Fleischauer and numerous extended family and close friends. The family wishes to thank Paul and the staff on the 6 floor of the CICU at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth for their support and caring. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 in the Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home and will continue Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service. A private family Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Hermantown, MN.
