James Lloyd “Jim” Findley, 83, of Lakewood Township, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in his home surrounded by family. Jim was born in Winnebago, MN on February 15, 1941 to Ed and Frances Findley. Jim was a Denfeld High School graduate and served in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Jim lived in Minneapolis where he worked for the Bureau of Engraving in circuit board sales. He married Cindy Niedzielski in Rogers, MN in 1996 and they moved to Duluth in 2005. He was a member of the Two Harbors American Legion and the Anchor Point Community Church in Duluth. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shelley Findley; brothers, Dean and Butch Findley.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Denny (Jenny) Niedzielski, Lisa (Weston) Aldinger, Cheryl and Jennifer; two brothers, Barry (Chris) Findley and Duane Findley both of Duluth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation 12 noon until the 1 pm funeral service Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in the Anchor Point Community Church, 5202 Colorado St., Duluth, MN 55804. Pastor Josh Major officiating. Military Honors accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
