Joanne Cecilia Pasek

Joanne Cecilia Pasek age 94 of Duluth, died on May 18, 2025 at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Duluth to parents Joseph and Sally (Kuyava) Kendzora on Halloween day, 1930. She graduated from Denfeld High School and worked at Northern City Bank and J.C. Penny’s. In 1959 she married the love of her life, Raymond Pasek and together they raised 3 wonderful boys. Joanne was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoyed membership in the OK and Women’s Club. Outside of church, she was a member of the Plus 55 Club and NARFE. She was very proud to be Polish. She often donated her time volunteering at St. Mary’s and the Domiano Center. In her free time, you could find her flower gardening, dancing, listening to polka music; and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sally; Husband, Ray; siblings, Wally Kendzora, Genevieve Musolf, Dorothy Frones, John Kendzora, and Chuck Kendzora. She is survived by her boys, Jim (JoAnne Simmerman), David (Angela), and Steve; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, and Ruth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11:00 am with a visitation at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W Linden St, Duluth, MN 55811. Interment at Polish Catholic Cemetery.
