Joseph "Jay" A. Poissant, 73, of Blaine, MN, died Monday March 27, 2017 at J.A. Wedum Hospice in Brooklyn Park. Born and raised in Duluth he is a graduate of Denfeld High School, 1962 and the U of M College of Pharmacy, 1968 and worked for Snyder Drug for over 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, Louis A. & Lillian Poissant; brother, Louis M. Poissant; grandson, Jonathan Nebel; . A loving father and devoted husband survived by loving wife of 53 years, Linda (Ramsli); daughters, Lisa (Michael) Nebel, Cherie (Christopher Kasprzyk) Poissant, Dana (Charles) Hattabaugh; grandchildren, Hannah, Kari, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Brenden, Drew & Nora; sisters in law, Nancy Ramsli (Gary) Kurpius and Evelyn (Wallace Poissant) Nelson, also nieces, nephews & cousins in MN, AK, CA, CO, HI, WA, Norway and Sweden. Funeral service Friday April 7, 12 PM with a visitation one hour prior at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy, 65 NE, Fridley. Graveside service Saturday April 8, 2 PM at Park Hill Cemetery Chapel, 2500 Vermillion Rd., Duluth. Memorials preferred to the family.
