Joyce Grumdahl

Our wonderful and beautiful mother, Joyce L." the hat lady" Grumdahl, 93, Duluth, joined the angels on July 28, 2014 at Viewcrest Health Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Duluth on June 8, 1921. She was raised by Nels and Sina Sandbeck in the West End Hillside where she loved dancing, roller skating, hiking, swimming and especially fishing. She married Einar Grumdahl in Riverside, CA on February 14, 1943. She had been a member of the Evergreen Senior Center. Joyce self published her autobiography in 2004. She is preceded in death by her husband, son Ronald, granddaughter Lillian Ronding , one brother and five sisters. Joyce is survived by daughters Loretta Ronding, Roberta(Larry)Monchamp, Kathy Olson, Connie(Chuck)Amborn, sons Richard(Barb Remington) , Jeffrey(Lori), Michael(Judy) and Randy(Sandra), eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her beloved son, Ronnie. The family extends a special thanks to Viewcrest for their loving care. Visitation 10AM until the 11AM Funeral Service Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave, Duluth. Burial at Park Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher-Funeral Home.
