Judith Kathleen Scott

Judith Kathleen (Poldoski) Scott age 91 of Duluth died on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Solvay House. She was born in Wrenshall, MN on April 29, 1933 to parents, John and Agnes (White) Poldoski. She graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1951. On May 2, 1953, she married the love of her life, Jack Scott. Together they raised 4 wonderful children in the Piedmont neighborhood. Their home was full of laughter, love, and the irresistible aroma of something delicious baking in the oven. Swedish Kringle and Scottish Shortbread cookies were her specialty. Her church, Bethany Lutheran, was more than a place of worship—it was a family, and she gave to it with all her heart. Her compassion poured over into her professional life as well. She worked as a Nurses Aid at Viewcrest Health Center for 18 years. Judith is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers; a sister; and grandson, Michael Hill.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Scott) Hill, Jacqueline (Michael) Donnahue, Steven Scott, and Janet (Scott) Kusch; grandchildren, Stacy (Willy) Thompson, Aaron (Katie) Donnahue, Amy (Brian) Herrick, and Jon Kusch (Kate Flug); great-grandchildren, Alexis, McKenzie, Ashlyn, Brynlee, Blakely (coming July of ’25); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, 3208 W 3rd Street, Duluth. Interment at Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Solvay Hospice House. Our deepest gratitude and appreciation go to the staff at Solvay hospice house. Your warm loving arms enveloped not only our loving mom, but our entire family. We will forever hold your kindness in our hearts, and will do our best to pass it on.
