Keith Gulbranson, 91, of Saginaw, died Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Solvay Hospice House surrounded by his family. Keith was born on September 3, 1930 in Knife Falls, MN to Henning Gulbranson and Edna Beaudreau. Keith was a Marine Corp Veteran serving during World War II. He retired after 40 years from the DM & IR Railroad where he worked as a carman. He was a member of the Proctor Moose and the VFW Post 137. Keith loved all kinds of sports and was a huge fan of the Vikings and Twins and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, T.M. “Girle” Gulbranson, his second wife, Joy VanVaulkenberg and a son, Denny. Survivors include his children, Kandice “Kandi”; brothers, Greg and Kevin (Teri); grandchildren, Nicole (Carmen) and Laura; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Lynn (Patty) Gulbranson; bonus daughter, Linda Hansen; special friend, Karon Engman. The family would like to thank the following organizations for their care of Keith: Solvay  Hospice House, Essentia Home Hospice and Brenda Ehnes and the staff at Pathways to Achievement. “Goodbyes are not forever; goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.”  A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Military Honors accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. There will be a reception at the Proctor Moose following the services from 3 to 5 pm. Burial at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery-Duluth. Arrangements by Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home.
