LEILA "LE" WILLECK

LeIla “Le” Willeck, 83, formerly of West Duluth, died Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Bayshore Health Center. Le was born on September 2, 1943 in Duluth to August and Inez Voss. Le attended Denfeld High School. She married Richard “Dick” Willeck on February 14, 1987 and together they were foster parents for Bethany Crisis Shelter and Crisis Nursery and had over 200 foster children. Le attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Richard. Le is survived by her children, Rhonda (David) Hasner of Melbourne, FL, Gary A. (Shelly Marquardt) Vezina of Duluth, Randy (Kim) Vezina of Duluth and Cori Glad of Eau Claire, WI; two sisters, Sandy Welsh of Duluth and Sharri (Ronald) Bolstad of Alexandria, MN; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation 10 am until the 11 am Memorial service Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial in Sunrise Cemetery.
