Lorraine Louise Vanderport

Lorraine Louise Vanderport passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Duluth, Minnesota at the age of 97. She was born February 18, 1925 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Lewis and Ruth Flood. Lorraine spent most of her youth with her family in Kansas City, Missouri and in her late teens moved back to Duluth, Minnesota. Lorraine was united in marriage with George A. Vanderport April 4, 1942.  They enjoyed nearly 77 years of marriage together until George’s passing in February, 2019. They created wonderful memories at their family cabin for 53 years and also enjoyed spending winters in Florida and Arizona. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Lewis and Ruth Flood; sisters, Helen Bertha, Viola, LoElla and Esther. She is survived by sons, George (Erin), Robert (Jean) of Duluth, Richard (Sharon) of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Norma Abrams of Duluth; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine deeply loved her family and lived for them and their wellbeing. She will be forever loved and missed by all. A Funeral Service will be at 2pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, 3208 W. 3^rd Street, Duluth with a Visitation beginning at 1pm.
