Magnhild Bloomquist

Magnhild "Maggie" Bloomquist, 93, Duluth, went to be with her Lord May 22, 2013 at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Superior, WI on January 1, 1920 to Ole and Kristine Engelun.She married Earl Bloomquist in Duluth on June 23, 1945. Maggie was a homemaker who stayed at home and raised her family. She had been an active member at both the former Ebenezer Baptist Church and Bethany Baptist Church in Duluth. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years Earl, brothers Oley and Ted, sister Agnes Lundquist and grandson Lee Gernander. Maggie is survived by her sons Richard (Carol), Duluth, Dean (Cheryl), Duluth, daughter Sandra (Steven) McCabe, North Branch, MN, sisters Ruth Swenson, Superior, Evelyn Ekelund, Eveleth, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation 10 am until the 11 am Celebration of Life Tuesday at Bethany Baptist Church, 6700 Grand Avenue, Duluth. Burial at Oneota Cemetery. Memorials to Bethany Baptist are preferred.
