Marketta M. Sobczak

Marketta M. Sobczak, 71, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Diamond Willow Assisted Living-Lester Park. Marketta was born on October 4, 1954 in Finland to Jaakko and Aino Mannoja. She was a member of Kenwood Lutheran Church and active with the Quilting group.

She worked in Real Estate as an agent in Duluth for many years. Marketta was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas. She is survived by a son, Brett (Karen) Sobczak of Minneapolis; two brothers, Matti (Mariella) Mannoja of Minnetonka, MN and Martti (Sarie) Mannoja of Woodland Hills, CA; a sister, Marita Wiggin of Duluth; two grandchildren, Jackson and Easton; a special friend, Al Rudeck of Duluth. Visitation 12 noon until the 1 pm Memorial Service Friday, September 18, 2026 at the Forest Hill Cemetery Chapel. 2516 Woodland Ave. Rev Jeffrey Holter officiating.
