Patricia Ann Langenbrunner, 92, was born on September 17, 1930 and passed away on November 3rd with family at her side.
She graduated from St Luke’s School of Nursing in 1951 and worked at St Mary’s Hospital and Miller Dawn Psych unit as head nurse, retiring in 1988 after 37 years. As a member of the MNA and many boards and committees, she advocated patients rights and hospital policies. During her extensive career she received the Ruth Hass award for her numerous contributions in promoting a high standard of nursing and mental health care. She was at the forefront of quality patient care and possessed the rare gift of being able to reach people who were difficult to reach.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Earl and Dorothy Gratto, and her siblings Earl Gratto, Marilyn Gratto, and Peggy Bucsko. She is survived by her children Tim Langenbrunner (Robin), Sue Langenbrunner, Sandi Oman(Marvin), Sheri Preiss(Kevin) and grandchildren Seth Johnson (Renee), Luke Johnson, Andrew Langenbrunner, Sydney Preiss, great grandson Braxton, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Union Gospel Mission, or any mental health agency.
VISITATION: 10:00 until the 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.
