Rebecca Ann Lesch, 53, Duluth, died Sept. 23, 2015 at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth. She was born in Duluth on Aug. 5, 1962 to Roy and Marjorie Lesch. Becky was a graduate of Duluth Central High School and UMD, with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked in Duluth and Philadelphia as an elementary school teacher, and then later became employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Duluth. Becky was also in the Air Force, where she spent 26 years between active duty, including time in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the 148th Fighter Wing in Duluth. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Park Citizen Patrol, the Duluth Police Reserve, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Becky loved animals, and had a giving heart. She has sponsored a child in Africa for the past 12 years and had been looking forward to a visit there in October. She was preceded in death by her parents. Becky is survived by her sister Debbie (Dr. Eric) Ringsred, Duluth; a niece Anna Ringsred and nephews Miles, Odin and Anders Ringsred. Becky was also loved by her many aunts and cousins. VISITATION: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, in Glen Avon Presbyterian Church, 2105 Woodland Ave, Duluth and continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Monday in Glen Avon. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Military Honors accorded by the Combined Duluth Honor Guard. Memorials to Animal Allies are preferred. Williams-Lobermeier-Boettcher Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
