Ronald D. Matuschak

Ronald D. Matuschak, 84, of Duluth, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 24, 2022. Ron was born on June 24, 1938, graduated from Denfeld (Class of 1957) and went on to join the Army until his honorable discharge in 1963, he later served in several roles with Duluth Public Schools for nearly 30 years until his retirement. On April 29, 1970, Ron married the love of his life, Maymi.  They shared their zest for life, love of cars and traveling together until Maymi’s passing in 2008. Ron and Maymi were lifelong members of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. We find comfort in knowing that Ron and Maymi have been reunited in eternal love in heaven. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Inga Matuschak; wife, Maymi (Kinnunen) Matuschak; and sister, Carol Pearson. Ron will be missed by his brother-in-law, Gene Pearson and nieces, JoAnn (Jeff) Walczak, Crissy (Randy) Rue, Charlee (Jim) Smith and nephew Mark (Denise) Pearson as well as many great nieces and nephews.  Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. 1419 St. Benedict St. Visitation one hour prior to the service.
