Sharon E. Burke

Sharon E. Burke, 80, of Sturgeon Lake, MN formerly of Duluth, passed away on Monday October 24, 2022.  She was born in Chicago, IN on April 12, 1942, to Clifford and Viola Sherer.  Sharon married Byron Burke on January 11, 1964.  She had worked as a cashier at Denfeld SuperValu, and with Senior Friends.   Sharon was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church and its choir.  She was a Sonshine Closet volunteer, and she volunteered for the “Awanna” program with Moose Lake Covenant Church.  Sharon enjoyed baking, reading the Bible, campfires and time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Yvonne Sherer.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Byron, children Wendy Allenson, Cary (Lori) Burke, and Mike (Sherrie) Burke, 6-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings Noreen (Richard) Pyle, Deonne Sherer, and Clifford (Barb) Sherer Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
