Sharon (Paradise) Rodriguez

Sharon (Paradise) Rodriguez, 84, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on August 22, 2023. She was born on November 18, 1938, in Duluth, MN, to the late Lloyd and Irja Paradise.  She grew up in West Duluth, attended Denfeld High School and Duluth Business University.  Her parents owned the Paradise Spur/Webb Gas Station & Service Garage on Ramsey Street in the 50s and 60s.

Sharon was outgoing, friendly, and passionate about positive thinking, kindness toward others, and she enjoyed reading, Sudoku, crossword puzzles, dancing, Scrabble, playing cards, cooking shows, her church, and most of all, spending time with friends and family.

Sharon held a variety of positions in her professional life but found her niche as a tax preparation specialist and trainer where she could help clients and work with numbers.  Sharon was dedicated to various charities and was actively involved in her church.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Rodriguez, and is survived by her son Barrett Maki, her daughter-in-law Chris Maki, and  grandson Ben Maki.

Graveside service 11 am Monday, September 25, 2023 at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth.  

A ceremony to celebrate Sharon's life will be held on October 8, 2023, at 12:30 PM, at the Unity Spiritual Center, 10101 West Coggins Dr, Sun City, AZ 85351. Arrangements by Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home.
