Terence "Terry" Joseph Howard

Terence Joseph Howard, affectionately known as Terry was born June 21, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Helen Howard. Terry passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024.

Terry graduated from cathedral high school in Duluth in 1961 and then joined the Air Force, after which he worked various places before settling on his career as a well respected maintenance operator with the Post Office, retiring after 26 years. Terry married his sweetheart Marlys in 1972 celebrating 52 years of marriage.

Terry enjoyed spending time with his many family members and especially enjoyed getting to be a grandpa, he loved fishing, golfing, and even getting a hole-in-one once. He was in several bowling leagues, posting multiple 300 games. He also really enjoyed traveling, especially to Ixtapa with his wife Marlys.

Terry was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, James; sister-in-law, Corrine Howard; and sister, Alice Norlund. He is survived by his wife, Marlys Howard; daughters, Jill Howard and Jane (Andy) Seehus; grandchildren, Josie and Brandon Adams, Rayna, and Max; sisters, Marilyn (Kermit) Cook and Judi Paplior; brothers, Peter (Barb) Howard and Timothy (Gina Knezevich) Howard; and brother-in-law, Jerry McCormick; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in St. James Catholic Church. Fr Richard Kunst officiating. Burial in Oneota Cemetery accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stella Maris-St. James Campus would be appreciated.
