Thomas Milton Black

Thomas Milton Black, age 84 of Duluth, passed away on January 21, 2024. He was born on May 7, 1939 to parents, Thomas A. & Margaret (Corser) Black. Tom was born and raised in Duluth. He graduated from Denfeld in 1957. He married the love of his life, Diane on November 26, 1960. Together they raised 3 wonderful sons. Tom worked as a surveyor in the City of Duluth Engineering Department for 35 years. In his free time, Tom enjoyed bowling, fishing trips with his buddies, and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher; and brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diane; sons, Mark (Mary) Black and Bryan (Jennifer) Black; daughter-in-law, Sharon Black; grandchildren, Tony (Amanda), Jacob (Rachel), Joshua, Spencer, Evan, and Avery; great grandchildren, Tommy, Nora Lee, and Asher; sister, Judy (Jay) Anderson; sister-in-law, Joan (David) Crawford, and Shelly Black; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 11:00 am with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Spirit Of God Lutheran Church, 2431 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806. Interment at Oneota Cemetery.
