Thomas "Buck" McDonald, 88, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Monday, November 6, 2017. Buck was born in Superior WI, August 5, 1929 to Clarence and Kathrine. Buck was a Golden Glove and Professional Boxer, and later coached for many years. He belonged to painters local 106 for 70 years. He was a combat veteran in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, cribbage, pool, football, but most of all spending time with family, friends and especially his grand-children. He was member of Lincoln Park Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sibling, Pat, Dorothy, Bev, Dougy, Kenny, and Billy. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna; children, Daba (Buddy) Roff, Steve (Annette), Daryl (Jon) Lindholm, Dana (Todd) Norton, Dawn; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, Numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of St Luke’s and Chris Jensen for their care and support of Buck. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Lincoln Park Community Church or Chuck Blomquist Ministry. Visitation will be 5-7PM, Thursday, November 9, 2017, in the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home, 3208 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806, visitation will continue Friday, 10AM until the 11AM Memorial Service, in Lincoln Park Community Church, 2202 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55806.
