Timothy "Butch" Michael Bennett

Timothy Michael “Butch” Bennett, 82, of Duluth, died Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital. Butch was born on December 5, 1943 in Duluth to Frank and Henrietta (Greenow) Bennett. Butch attended Duluth schools and worked various jobs including construction, roofing, siding and was an insurance agent. He worked as an agent for the Knights of Columbus and retired from Al Robins insurance agency. Butch attended St. James Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was past Grand Knight. He married Mary Connor on February 19, 1966 in St. Clements Catholic Church. He was a helpful, kind, gentle, caring, loving person and was a good husband and father to family. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. Butch is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Connor Bennett; a son, Matthew (Kim) Bennett of Superior, WI; a daughter, Denise (Nigel) Stringfellow of Australia; a grandson, Zachary (Carrie) Bissell of California; granddaughter, Katey Goodiel (Luke) of Wisconsin. Visitation 10 am until the 11 am memorial service Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Duluth.
