Vernon W. Johnson

Vernon W. Johnson, 90, of Esko, formally of Hermantown, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital, May 4, 2022.

He was born, July 14, 1931, in Little Falls, MN, to Walfred and Elsie Johnson.

Vernon attended Hermantown School, worked for SuperWood, was a Hermantown bus driver for 20 years.  He enjoyed model trains and playing the Concertina.  He was a longtime member of Lakehead Harvest Club, Solway Seniors, and Grace Lutheran Church.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dalbert, and Floyd; sisters, Lavina Maki, and Ivadell.

He is survived by brothers, Ervin of Duluth, Kenneth (Margaret) of Hermantown, Marvin (Martha) of Saginaw; and numerous, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7PM, Friday, May 13, 2022, funeral service will be 11:30AM, Saturday, May 14, 2022, with visitation one-hour prior, at Grace Lutheran Church, 5454 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN 55811
