Wayne Thompson

Wayne E. Thompson, 83, Duluth, died Nov. 5, 2015 peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Mora, Minn. Wayne was a Korean War Air Force veteran. Wayne had worked as a carpenter for many years, retiring from Johnson Wilson. He was a charter member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the All-American Club, Carpenter Local No. 361 and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 006783. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife Connie; brother Bud and grandson Josh. He is survived by his children Bernie (Vicki), Carl, Donna (Howard) Shaw, Tony (Sue), Beth (Scott) Wade and Amanda Mann; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and sisters Evanell Kowalski and Eileen Venier. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday Nov. 14, 2015 in St. James Catholic Church, 721 North 57th Ave. W., Duluth. Entombment Sunrise Cemetery.
