Florence Booth

August 18, 1928 — December 15, 2020

Florence Edna Booth, 92 of Duluth, died Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Essentia Health.  Florence was born on 8/18/1928 in Mapleton, MN to Tracey and Arlene Johnson.  Florence married Elde Howard Booth on 10/04/1946 and soon after had two children, Robert Allen Booth born on 9/25/1947 and Donna Jean Booth born on 11/10/1948. Florence spent a lot of her time doing what she loved and that was baking.  She had the best chocolate chip, peanut butter and date cookies and her famous baked beans. Florence also enjoyed playing cards and especially looked forward to Wednesday card games with her brothers and sisters.  She also had a knack for embroidering and making quilts.  Florence loved spending time with her family and really looked forward to Tuesdays when her favorite ice cream truck The King of Creams would come and pay her a visit. Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Elde Booth; her father and mother, Tracey and Arlene Johnson; her son, Robert Booth; brothers, Alfred, Johnny, Aldo, Roy, Tracey; and sister, Alice. Florence is survived by her daughter, Donna Booth-Swanson; daughter-in-law, Colleen Booth; grandson, Glen Booth; granddaughters, Melissa Booth and Rebecca Shaw; great granddaughter, Madison Shaw; brothers, Earl, Jack, Ray, Donald (Gloria), Ronald (Kari); sisters, Jane (Jim), Shirley (Dale) and lastly good friend Connie Morris.

A special thank you to all the Dr’s and nurses at Essentia Health and Viewcrest Health Center for the wonderful care they provided to Florence in her last months. Visitation 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home. Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
