Kal Rautenan

Kal G. Rautanen died unexpectedly after a brief illness at Essentia Health October 27, 2021. Kal was born January 21, 1981, he graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1999 and attended Lake Superior College. Kal worked in various service industry and patient care jobs in Duluth. Kal was an avid Vikings fan, the go to for all things technology, enjoyed video games, card games and time with family. Kal was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Lorraine Anderson; uncle, Tim Anderson; niece Emmy Schwab. Kal is survived by his parents, Donna and Tom Frisk; sister, Lorene (Denny) Schwab; beloved niece and nephew Lily and Rylen Schwab, other family members and friends. Kal loved his family, and he was loved in return, he will be dearly missed. Memorials to Essentia Health. Private family services have been held.
