Lois Taylor

December 3, 1929 — April 7, 2021

Lois Jean (MacInnes) Taylor, 91, of Duluth passed away peacefully on April 7, 2021. She was born December 3, 1929 to Mildred and James MacInnes at their home in Bayview Heights and spent her whole life in the Duluth area.

Lois married Leslie Taylor on May 6, 1950 at her parents’ home on 64th Ave West. She did a lot of different crafts through the years, many with her sister Helen. She was an amazing violinist, great cook, and wonderful baker.  If you visited Lois, you could be certain to see the latest jigsaw puzzle on her card table, her doll collection on display, and to be offered sweets and coffee or tea.  She loved to play games, especially with her family, cribbage club, and most recently her brother Don and friends at Edgewood Vista.

She was an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church for over sixty years and a member of the Lois Club.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and James MacInnes; daughter, Janet Taylor; her husband, Leslie Taylor; her sisters, Helen (Roger) Nelson & Evelyn (Johnie) O’Brien; brother, James (Marilyn) MacInnes; and sister-in-law, Joyce MacInnes.

She is survived by her brother, Donald MacInnes of Hermantown; her sons, Bruce Taylor of St. Peters, Missouri, and Kenneth (Sharon) Taylor of Duluth; grandchildren, Leah (Jon) Blevins, Rebecca Taylor, Brittany Cooper, Zachary (Monika Rai) Taylor; great grandchildren, Aaron & Katelyn Blevins; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Williams Lobermeier Boettcher In Duluth from noon until services at 1 PM on Monday, April 12, 2021, The Service will be Livestreamed on the Williams Lobermeier Boettcher Funeral Home Facebook Page starting at 2PM.
