Michele Johnson

February 2, 1951 — November 29, 2019

Michele LeFaive Johnson, 68, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1951, the second of seven children born to Raymond and Stephanie LeFaive, and was a lifelong Duluth resident. She was a 1969 graduate of Denfeld High School and was a 45 year employee of the Duluth School District, retiring in 2016. Through the years, she touched the lives of her students with her love and concern for each and every one of them. She loved spending time with her family, and we, in turn, loved her immensely. She loved all animals, especially her beloved puppies, Buffy and Misty. She was an avid fan of our Minnesota Vikings. We will miss her tender heart and her sense of humor, and our lives are richer having had her with us. We know that there is no place on earth, there is no moment in the course of our lives, there is no crevice in our hearts, where she will not be remembered, and loved beyond measure. She brought so much joy to all of us. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; her greatest love, her husband, Tom Johnson; her beloved sister, Diane Marie LeFaive; her stepfather, Bill Anderson. Michele is deeply loved and sadly missed by her sister, and very best friend, Janet (Rustin) LeFaive Banks of Duluth; her four brothers, Joe “Dan”  (Patty Pensak) LeFaive, John (Barb Greene) LeFaive and Gerald (Cindy Folger) LeFaive , all of Duluth and Richard LeFaive of Arizona; several nieces, nephews and many friends. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kristin Colling, and the staff at the ICU of Essentia Health for the love and concern they showed for our precious sister, Michele. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 West 3rd Street, visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 10th from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial.
